Team Member Spotlight on Pauline Keetley, Tel Hai Retirement Community

Pauline Keetley, Cura Hospitality general manager at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA, was the recipient of the Business Partner Leadership Award, an award our client created for Pauline's exemplary service and leadership!

Since partnering with Cura in the fall of 2015, Tel Hai has become a flagship dining location under Ms. Keetley's dynamic leadership!

Ms. Keetley is credited with managing a talented marketing-driven team who have increased sales by 70% at the Daily Brew General Store which offers residents and staff everything from grab-and-go pre-packaged mini meals to gifts, grocery items, sundries and health and beauty products.  Along with implementing Cura’s merchandising standards and best practices, the Daily Brew has become the central hub where guests experience something new every day!

There has also been an increase in daily meal plans from 90 to 150 residents after Ms. Keetley guided staff and guests through a successful transition from counter service to full wait-staff at dinner. These changes also resulted in a participation increase for non-mandatory meal plan residents from 30% to 70% in less than one year!

Ms. Keetley continues to enhance the employee engagement culture throughout the community.  She has implemented innovative recruiting methods and developing employee retention strategies that reduced turnover by 40%. With every position happily filled, Ms. Keetley has developed and promoted a supervisor to a manager, and two hourly cooks to sous chef positions.
