Clinical Care

We Preserve Human Life

Balanced, healthy meals are critical during the healing process. Learn how your hospital can be on the leading edge of providing healthy dining alternatives for patients and hospital guests.

The First Trans Fat-Free Menu

We are the first to offer a completely trans fat-free menu of food selections for patients and hospital guests. By preparing fresh foods without artery-clogging trans fats, the unnatural substances that extend shelf life and flavor stability of foods, we offer more balanced, healthier meals that help to decrease the risk of heart attacks and high cholesterol levels.

Our new trans fat-free recipes have a fresh, cleaner taste and, more importantly, help to improve overall recovery.

Farm-Fresh Food

Our executive chefs prepare fresh, made-to-order food using more fruits and vegetables and locally-grown produce delivered fresh weekly by nearby farmers.  Patients may choose from a variety of menu selections including traditional, flavorful home-style favorites such as roasted pork loin with cranberry orange salad or trendier selections like pannini sandwiches or Belgian waffles.  Patients love our delicious and healthy meals, created with care by our innovative chefs to satisfy any mood, taste or dietary requirement.

Menu Concierge

Cura provides a Menu Concierge, a spoken menu service where courteous, friendly and educated concierges take patient menu orders at bedside just prior to serving the meal. This personalized service is efficient and better for patients, as their diets and tastes may change from one day to the next, and, overall, provides a more socially appealing environment that’s uplifting to patient dining.

The key to Menu Concierge’s success is the education and interactive training components that provide the staff with the opportunity to get enthused about their new role. Concierges attend a step-by-step training program that begins with gracious hospitality, how to take an order using a palm pilot, serve meals and provide follow-up care.

In addition to gracious hospitality, concierges need to intimately know the menu selections and to be knowledgeable about the nutritional profile of each meal. Menu Concierges work with Cura's clinicians so that they may better understand the dietary needs and restrictions of our patients, and to feel confident to answer patients’ questions about nutrition information.

At-Risk Patients

Cura's clinicians meet regularly with your medical staff to help identify nutritionally at-risk patients and recommend customized proactive care plans to help keep them nourished and healthy.

Our clinicians also conduct wellness workshops year-round that tackle the specific health issues that affect people of all ages. Topics may include eating for a healthy life, trans-fatty acids and heart disease, exercise and nutrition, diet trends and fads, organic foods and living with diseases.

Patients, medical staff and hospital guests also attend our wellness events that provide them with the opportunity to utilize our health experts and take part in health screenings.

The following Cura-developed programs are offered to make life easier so your medical staff can focus on their job, while we focus on ours:
