CURA HOSPITALITY BREATHES NEW LIFE TO HOME-COOKED FAVORITES; RESTAURANT GUIDE USED TO CREATE RECIPES
OREFIELD, PA, October 31, 2006 – Cura Hospitality breathes new life to home-cooked favorites with its new Flavors of Home, a recipe collection that features traditional, flavorful homestyle meals such as beef stroganoff, chicken pot pie and bread pudding.
According to Cura President and Founder Mitch Possinger, although Cura executive chefs continue to create exciting, colorful and sassy cuisine daily, we realize that the majority of our senior diners still continue to crave the old-time favorites. “And, it’s not just seniors, we’re seeing a trend throughout all business lines that customers want the comfort meals that have always been a part of their lives,” says Possinger.
The beauty of Flavors of Home is the laminated step-by-step restaurant-style instruction guide that chefs and back-of-the-house production staff can keep in the kitchen at all times to ensure consistent preparation, presentation and the overall integrity of recipes. “This is a user-friendly tool that specifies the recipes’ high quality ingredients, the latest HACCP procedures for safety and even photographs of the menu items to make sure our people fully understand the presentation,” adds Possinger .
Cura and their clients’ clinicians will also find nutrient analysis information per recipe helpful for monitoring resident diets. “This information is important, especially for older Americans who need to comply with certain dietary restrictions,” says Possinger.
Flavors of Home features a collection of 35 recipes, including soups, salads, main entrees, sides and desserts, of which all were chosen based on extensive surveys and taste-testing sessions conducted with residents throughout Cura’s 73 locations.
